This concept has many implications. What I chose to believe is that we are all connected. What you do and what you say have a lasting effect. You get out of life what you put into it and you are responsible for your actions. There is a consequence for everything. This is the law of the living and the dead, the good and the bad, the conscious and the unconscious.

Isn't it true that just as we can't get rid of anybody, neither can we get rid of ourselves - we have an unavoidable responsibility which we can choose to meet with dread or excitement - that is a choice. Kristy's character traits, and values are more than simply memories of her - they are like votive candles - we can keep them burning by choosing to make them our traits and values just as she did. How better to remember her than to pull the oar with as much joyful acceptance of all of life's challenges as did she?
